Craigburn Farm Sloping Front Yard
This contemporary Australian native garden extends elements from the modern architectural home into the large front yard. The sloping block utilizes terracing via modern concrete steps and natural sandstone retaining walls to manage a steep incline, create resting areas and combat soil erosion. The Hardscaping contrasts structured geometric elements—like the clean, circular compacted-earth viewing platform—with organic elements like large sandstone boulders and dense dark organic mulch. This design replaced the traditional high-water lawn in favor of a low-maintenance, water-wise native and exotic planting plan suited to the harsh exposure and Australian climate. Another amazing construction job by Ross and the team from Creative Green Landscapes.
