Glenelg East - Functional Space

The garden utilizes a contemporary Australian style focused on clean geometries and mixed material combinations. The circular theme from the tree ring is mirrored by the circular gravel clearing which creates a defined zone for the client's rustic wooden bench.The design balances textures and materials to create interest and structure. The repositioned existing raised beds provide easy access to herbs and vegetables. This front yard is designed to provide functional resting areas in the sun that are absent from the small shaded rear yard. The layout creates a highly structured, drought-tolerant, and tidy yard that requires minimal maintenace while maximizing usable seating and planting zones. Lighting not shown by Allera lighting.
